Once there was a god named Muffin Fever, Muffin Fever lived in a huge moon beam, he had never ever dared to go outside of his moon beam house, but after a whole 20 years he decided that to celebrate his 20th birthday he would explore the outside world. So he packed his bags with a few chocolate muffins and quickly put his muffin coat on that he had made himself out of muffin cases last Christmas. When Muffin Fever flew out of his moon beam he couldn’t see anything so he turned on his muffin headlight but still he couldn’t see anything, Muffin fever had powers to do anything he wanted or even create whatever he wanted so he created a sky and then a huge circular light, it was beautiful he called it a sun, next he created water, grass, soil, wind, plants and rain but not just any kind of rain because when it rained the particular spot you were standing it would rain whatever you wanted! muffin Fever thought of what to do next. Then he had a spectacular idia…
He was going to make a world of muffins just like himself but of all different natures and looks. so firstly he made a plain muffin to start with then he added eyes, ears, a nose and a mouth… he thought of what he needed next, oh yes and then he remembered to put the arms and legs on! next muffin fever decided to give them features so he gave some of them genorouse nature, some gelouse nature, some happy natured, playfull natures, kind, helfull and even some grumpy ones! muffin fever also thought that he did not want them all to look the same so he carved out the faces with big noses, small noses, long legs, short legs, freckles, rosey cheeks and everything else he felt that was needed…….

When looking for small stories for kids, the twits is a very good book written by Roald Dahl and illustrated by Quentin Blake. Mr. and Mrs. Twit are a pair of hideous , smelly, nasty, stupid, dispicable people who like to play feeble tricks on each other, and teasing their pet monkeys, muggle womp and his family, by getting them to stand upside down, one on top of the other.. They also enjoy being cruel to animals, which they do by attracting birds to what they call glue trees so they can be turned into bird pie and they really do hate children, Mrs. Twit often carries a crooked walking stick in her hand that she uses to hit children and animals so watch out!
Roald Dahl was born at Villa Marie, Fairwater Road in Llandaff, Cardiff, Wales in 1916, to Norwegian parents, Harald Dahl and Sofie Magdalene Dahl (née Hesselberg).Dahl’s father had moved from Sarpsborg in Norway and settled in Cardiff in the 1880s. His mother came over to marry his father in 1911. Dahl was named after the Polar explorer Amunsen a national hero in Norway at the time. He spoke Norwegian at home with his parents and sisters, Astri, Alfhild, and Else. Dahl and his sisters were christened at the Norweqian Church, Cardiff where their parents worshipped.
In 1920, when Dahl was three years old, his seven-year-old sister, Astri, died from appendicitis Weeks later, his father died of pneumonia at the age of 57 while on a fishing trip in the Antarctic. With the option of returning to Norway to live with relatives, Dahl’s mother decided to remain in Wales because her husband Harald had wished to have their children educated in British schools, which he considered the world’s best.
Mary Murphy is the author and illustrator of a number of children’s books, like HOW KIND!. I KISSED THE BABY! and please be quiet! it’s about how excited everyone is to welcome a new baby into the community. it is usually read, like a nursery rhyme, by the person holding Baby at the time. The young penguin in this book edition of Mary Murphy’s favorite likes holding hands, dancing, eating new things, reading, and having all sorts of fun with an loving and caring older penguin.

A really good book, is Pippi Longstocking written by Astrid Lindgren in 1945. Astrid Lindgren was born in 1907 and saddly died in 2002 at the age of 94 In 1944. Astrid Lindgren wrote the book “Confidences of Britt-Mari” (“Britt-Mari lattar sitt hjarta”), which was a girl’s book of the kind common in those days. Because Pippi was rejected at first and had to be rewritten, this book was published first. She wrote a few more books in the same style as the one of Britt-Mari, but they were never as popular as her other books. The 2007 version of Pippi longstocking was illustrated by Lauren Child who has been completely inspired by Astrid Lindgrens stories since she was eight years old. Lauren winner of the Kate Greenway Meadal and nestle childrens gold award, has brought her own unique style to this beautifully- illustraited edition of Pippi Longstocking.
Pippi Longstocking is an exellent book that my mother nagged me to read since I read charlie and lola which is one of lauren child’s books. Pippi is a strange child with a monkey that she treats like a human and a horse that has plaitted hair. She lives by herself, for she thinks that parents have no need to tell her what to do. My mum read Pippi Longstocking when she was little and enjoyed it very much, it was one of her faviorits and it still is now. I would say that Pippi Longstocking is sutible for children aged eight and above I would give it a n eleven out of ten
Here is a picture I copied from the front cover of Lauren Child’s Pippi Longstocking, i then coloured it in with photoshop with a little help from Dad.
